The Opera!
Intro
A film about opera, love, and myth. Directed by Davide Livermore and Paolo Gep Cucco. “L’Opera!” represents a completely new experience in the Italian film industry. The film was shot almost entirely on a virtual set, and for this occasion Prodea Led Studios was created and used—currently the highest-definition virtual production set in Europe. The film also includes motion control, underwater filming, and extensive use of CGI and VFX. Filming was completed at the end of summer 2023, and the release was scheduled for autumn 2024. The cast includes Vincent Cassel, Fanny Ardant, Caterina Murino, and Rossy De Palma. It is an international production by RAI Cinema, Dolce & Gabbana, and Showlab, with selective funding from the Italian Ministry of Culture. 3D environment production for cinema using Unreal Engine.
